"Every single employee we encountered here was friendly and helpful. The wait staff and bar staff at Growlers were exceptional. Front desk staff were very helpful and genuinely nice. I really can't say enough good about the people who work here. The hotel itself was perfectly serviceable - not perfect, but very nice and very comfortable. Location is good - chain restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and you can take the bus (even the bus drivers were so nice and helpful) to State Street/downtown/local attractions. I was here for a business meeting, but came with my husband for a mini-vacation. This hotel was great for both. We enjoyed ourselves and would stay again. And the people were great!"
"The Crown Plaza is my home away from home. The staff at the front desk always made me feel welcome and made sure that the room I requested was available. The bar area was great for watching a ball game and relaxing. The food and service were excellent."

"Wow, what a change...it's been about a year since I've been to Madison and I then stayed at the Crowne Plaza as well. They have really turned this hotel around! Everything has been renovated in the lobby area and they have a new bar, restaurant and have even added a Starbucks (my favorite)! Their new bar is called Growlers and they serve beer from local breweries. The menu has changed a lot-for the better I might add. They even have organic items on the menu (this made my wife very happy). The restaurant has changed dramatically and the morning buffet has been spruced up. They have finally updated the bathrooms and now they are just beautiful with granite countertops and new flooring! The staff is about the same as last time I was there, which I thought was very good-very helpful and pleasant. If you haven't been to the Crowne Plaza in awhile, I would highly recommend that you give it another try. I debated when I read the other reviews but I would stay here again, no questions asked!"
"We spent four nights at the Crowne Plaza in east Madison. We checked out the many options and came up with a reasonable rate here, on the representation that it was recently renovated. We were very pleased with the room and the service. The room was attractive and comfortable. We also ordered a take out club sandwich from the restaurant and found it delicious and reasonable."
